The ELEVATE Project is adding an elevator and an accessible entrance to the parish house at St. Luke's, along with a restroom on every floor, two new conference rooms, an upgraded electrical system, new sewer work beneath the courtyard, and a renovated courtyard and memorial gardens. Use Caution Around Parish House Construction

Construction has closed the courtyard, known to many as the garth, and with it the usual entrances to the Parish House. Until further notice, the only route in is through the southwest nave door, along the cloister walk, and into the west door of the parlor. Those using this route should watch their step. Farewell to the Honey Locust

Tree removal crews took down an old honey locust in the courtyard of St. Luke's on Monday. The tree had reached the end of its life, and its removal, reviewed and approved by the City of Evanston under its strict tree preservation ordinance, clears the way for a key piece of the ELEVATE Project. The tree removal makes three things possible. A level, continuous walkway from the sidewalk to the new accessible entrance. The honey locust stood in the way of its planned route. D
